Next time that the pollsters survey the American people to try to ascertain Trump’s approval and disapproval ratings and/or the need for impeachment, they should work it into the question that Hillary Clinton would not take over in the event of Trump leaving or being jailed. So much of Trump’s shadiness, collusion and corruption gets met with ‘what about Hillary?’ Yes but she’s not the president, Trump is. No one cares about Hillary. She’ll remain a whiny, ‘blame everyone but me’, maladroit irrelevance unless/until she decides to run in 2020.
If people were dumb and reckless enough to vote for a painfully stupid game show host as president, they might also be under the misapprehension that Trump quitting beforehand/getting impeached/getting jailed would somehow negate the last election and, like after a drug cheat gets disqualified and everyone else moves up one place and the silver medalist gets the gold, thus Hillary would move in instead.
Masses of the Trump vote was against Hillary rather than for Trump; masses of the Hillary vote was against Trump rather than for Hillary. Let it be known that the next president will either be Mike Pence or the winner of the 2020 election and the support for impeachment and Trump’s disapproval rating might shoot up way higher than its current pitiful 55% disapproval rating and the 47% who want him 86’d from office through impeachment.
